Anne Roland Lee, Ed.D, RDN, LD

Anne Lee is an Assistant Professor of Nutritional Medicine in the Department of Medicine and the Institute for Human Nutrition at Columbia University, and the dietitian for the Celiac Disease Center. She completed her Doctorate in Nutrition Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, with her dissertation focusing on the impact of social support networks on the quality of life for individuals with celiac disease. Currently, Anne is involved in both patient care and research, with her studies focusing on the quality of life and nutritional adequacy of the gluten-free diet, its economic impact, and cross-contamination of gluten-free grains. Anne has authored chapters in nutrition and gastroenterology textbooks and developed educational materials for patients and professionals. A longtime member of the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics, Anne contributed to the development of the Gluten Intolerance Work Group’s toolkit and Certificate of Training for Gluten-Related Disorders. She has also reviewed chapters on celiac disease for the Academy’s online Nutrition Care Manual.
