Joseph Chapman, MD

Dr. Joseph Chapman is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Assistant Director of Pediatric Nutrition at the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital. He completed his MD at SUNY Downstate Medical Center and pediatric residency and gastroenterology fellowship at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore. His clinical interests include pediatric nutrition, intestinal rehabilitation, and celiac disease.

Dr. Chapman is a member of the University of Chicago Comer Children’s Celiac center, where he focuses on advancing evidence‑based, equitable care for children with celiac disease. His research interests involve complex nutritional care and pursuing quality improvement initiatives within pediatric nutrition and celiac disease.
